Kevin Harvick Foundation Donates $12,000 to Joey Logano Foundation

Harrisburg, N.C. (July 22, 2023) – Kevin Harvick and the Kevin Harvick Foundation surprised Joey Logano at Pocono Raceway with a $12,000 donation to the Joey Logano Foundation and reminisced on the now famous, “I Wear the Firesuit in This Family” t-shirt campaign from 2010. As Harvick competes in his final season of full time NASCAR competition, he is taking time to remember the moments that are cemented as highlights of his career both on and off the track. One of those moments came 13 years ago on June 6, 2010, following an on-track incident between Harvick and Logano. Closing in on the end of the race, Harvick made contact with Logano causing him to spin. Following the incident, Logano made the comment “his wife wears the firesuit in the family” referencing DeLana Harvick. The next week, the Harvick’s created a t-shirt with the phrase “I Wear the Firesuit in This Family” and began selling the shirts with a portion of the sales benefiting the Kevin Harvick Foundation. “We sold thousands of shirts,” Harvick said. “This year, as we look back on moments from my career, that one stood out for what we were able to do off the track for the foundation and raise money for a good cause. We wanted to bring the shirts back this year, have some fun with it and this time, donate money to Joey and his foundation. After all these years, it’s fun to look back and see how much we both have learned about who really wears the firesuit in our families between the wives and kids.”
